Too much rain on the fig tree itself is not good or to much water on the roots? What about if I cover my fig tree before it rains? Or cover the soil?
You can cover the soil. But if it's too humid, the fig itself might absolve moisture. If the tree is too young, too much water on root can cause issues also.
