Oh I'm very happy : ) that it looks like my Raspberry latte is the real deal! I love the leaves on it and hope it doesn't get too many of the other type but it looks like it might as it gets older. To answer the question on the clear pots. I have not had an issue with fig roots sticking to them. They are recycled orchid pots.
Mine looks very unlike Harvey's and much more like Schaplin's. Mine has very short internodes at this point, under fluorescent tubes and red pigment showing especially at the petioles.
I woke up to this link from Jon this morning. http://figs4fun.com/fpix/FP988-77.jpgI am quite impressed it had such distinctively different patterns on the same tree. I am very excited about trying this at some point.
These are my 3 Raspberry Latte trees. I got them from Jon and started them in January 2013. Notice the 2 leaf patterns. Beautiful trees...thank you Jon!

Very nice Scott! I am so glad this thread has brought out so many cameras! It's nice to see everyones Raspberry Latte's doing so well.
Bizarre leaves though.
I think it's really cool. I got another e-mail from Jon tonight that said the mother tree sometimes has one branch with one kind and another branch with the other and it can switch up the shape in the same season. Some branches have both. He said he had only seen this behavior on one other tree. This almost sounds like the real Wuhan that they call Zhong Zi. We had a thread about that one just a little while ago and it was sporting 3 different shapes on one branch of the tree taken in China.
Hi Tami, my Raspberry Latte did come from Jon. Jon is right about the leaves being different on different limbs. Mine has some limbs with the fingered leaves and some with pointed leaves. I have one potted that has both on the same limb.
