I stopped by one local nursery in Vancouver, B. C yesterday and the owner that I know well was highly recommended that I should buy this Corky's Honey Delight. he said this variety is a semi-dwarf notable and suitable to plant in pot. Does anyone know about this variety or tried before ?
I may be wrong BUT I heard its a late fig. If you have a green house, no harm in trialing.
Thank you but I do not have a green house. The tree itself looks very healthy and beautiful. The guy is asking C$100 each. I might go back and have a look again this weekend.
Hi Pacifica, I saw this fig tree at Art nursery last week, I think that they are selling for C$80, 4FT tall.
Hi RickyGuess you are not talking about Art's in Richmond as I was there with friends last Saturday and they bought a few trees and flowers there. I did ask if they have fig tree for sale but they said fig trees would not be available until end April. The one that I saw Corky's Honey Delight Fig should be Garden In Garden in Richmond and they have a few for sale at C$98.50 each. People like this variety but not the price, so I did not see any people wanted to buy.
Jeez... $100 for a fig tree of a relatively unknown variety like Uncle Corky's is pretty steep. That being said, if they are selling them on the East coast its a good bet then that the tree doesn't need the wasp for produce viable fruit.
