Re: Figs are out in Nova Scotia, Canada!

Excited to see my breba crop has survived our hard winter. These are Brown Turkey... hope Goutte d'Or will give me some figs soon.

That's great Tad!  Hope they stay on and you get to enjoy them.

Yes, these are grown in the ground. I push them down during the winter and cover them with soil and a tarp. I'm thinking of building a small insulated box for this winter.

Thanks! It's purely trial and error.

what zone are you in compared to us growing zones ?

I am in zone 5 here it gets down to zero-f a lot and occasionally -15f to - 20f
