If Ideal means like in Central and south Italy, then it will need the fig wasp to ripe fruits.
I have never seen a fig like that from all my italian parthenocarpic ,common figs.
It has the shape of Sicilian White but is not Pink inside like it should be if it was Sicilian white.
So,Mistery fig?

That Interior color is close to one common fig:
Marseilles white, aka Italian Honey, but the leaf is a little different.

Mario here is the leaf variation on my plant

I dont have any figs on my Plant, but a fellow forum member of the Gardenweb who has the same fig as me did mention this fig has amber pulp and very similar to his Italian Honey.

This is my other Italian fig from Colasanti Farms but leaves are very different.

Nelson the leaves that you show are vary much the same as mine
is you tree a fast grower
cause this one i have grew about four feet this summer so far and a good producer
if you have the same tree you will be happy with it and the figs are nice and large
not as big as the Excel i have but vary close

BTW- nice Avatar

Obrigado Mario lol. Yes very fast grower I find all the colasanti figs are very vigorous. Im hoping next season it will grow some figs also find this fig tree has really nice clean leaves. Mario if you ever want the dark fig from Colasanti farms let me know.

Oh Mario I have talked to Terry colasanti and asked him about these Italian figs he has no Idea himself. He told me the man who got the original plants and used to propogate for them Passed away before they ever found out.
