Our area saw record lows yesterday measured -6°F (-21°C) Monday morning.
I have most of my figs protected, some barely protected, but my dad's Brooklyn White was left unprotected since it is 15' -20' tall. My three pomegranate trees are unprotected. The good thing is there's at least 10 inches of snow on the ground that acts as an insulation to the trunk of the trees.
This will be a good test for my figs and other uncommon fruit trees.
I did a good job with my greenhouse, the lowest temperature was 48° with only a little electric heater.
It's fig season in Australia, and my uncle is teasing me telling me about it. It's in the 90's in Sydney.
