I was looking at the description of the Black Spanish fig tree on the One Green World website and it sounds like the REI fig that I have. The REI is the only fig that I have with a very dwarf growth habit. The fig description matches what I had this year. It does not mention two crops though.
Black Spanish is not too far removed from Brown Turkey.

A member informed me that Rei might a be Desert king.
Saw a video on youtube with Rei and Desert King, from NewEnglandGardener (probably a forum member with a different forum name), and his looked nothing alike. Don't know if that is typical or not though...
