Is anyone growing this fig?  This is a UCDavis cutting.  I think this is its third year.  It seems to be a bush shape and very slow grower.  Maybe with the warming forecast one of the figs will ripen up some.

To my knowledge there are only two different REI variants.

Not too sure if there is a third or not but the one you have may be "REI Preto". I forgot what the 2nd one is called but I am thinking something in the "B" word i.e., Branca, Blanca or Bianco. I could be wrong on either one as well.

I will do a little research when I have time.

Nice looking fig BTW.

I was just wondering what experience other people have had with this variety.  We are suppose to have some warm weather this week so maybe the fig will ripen up some.

Looking back at my records I see that this cutting came from encanto farms and not UCDavis.
