repotting figs

So I recently posted a question regarding up potting my fig trees to bigger pots and received some great advice.  I am confused; however, about when the best time to repot them is.  Is it best to plant them in bigger pots during dormancy to avoid shock, or is it best to repot them now with a couple of months left in the growing season?  They have unripe figs on them that I would rather not have the trees drop from shock so I'm thinking of waiting until dormancy to place them in bigger pots.  What is the consensus?

Thanks,
Paul

You can pot up during the growing season as long as you don't disturb the roots otherwise wait until they are dormant.  Don't ever bare root to repot unless it is dormant.

zeitgest,

See the result of up potting on my fig trees in your first thread on this subject. They didn't have figs though, but if you don't disturb the roots, as Don says, you should not have a problem.
