Request

I know this is off subject but does any one have chillian guava cuttings or suckers they are willing to trade for fig cuttings?

Since this off topic thread was started anyways, I am coming with a request for some cuttings of Rosa Canina or ( Dog Rose, Puppy rose, Hip rose.) Its hips have many excellent medicinal and health improving qualities.  It was brought from Europe long time ago, and today it grows wild in many places of the east cost. Please do not mistaken it with native wild rose which does not produce an abundance of bright -red, big size hips.

PM me with your offer and I will buy some cuttings.

Happy New Year!

Yes this is off topic and risks fig whip lashings from the moderator.

oooooh

FIGS are fun

OK now the thread is somewhat fig related :)

Martin- what kind of fig will I get lashed with? Also I offered figs in trade so it's kinda related

Rafed - that's all you got lol

Jim- some are not so fun like the kind I am threatened to get lashed with.

Bill- the plant is more of a myrtle with red blueberry sized fruit with a guava scent but it's own flavor makes amazing jams. Problem is it can take up to 6years from seed likes fig and who knows if it grows true I can't seem to find much input on that.

Jon I do apologize.

Celt, So it looks like you in search of Ugni molinae. I see that plant is only hardy to zone 8 or 9. Are you gonna grow that in a pot and bring it in in the winter? It gets 3 meters tall. Sounds interesting.

Daves garden says these companies sell the plant......

-Annie's Annuals and Perennials (Richmond, California)
-Bay Flora (Berkeley, California)
-Flora Exotica (Montreal, Quebec)
-Trans-Pacific Nursery (WorldPlants.com) (Sheridan, Oregon)

I also checked One Green World and they have it too.
