I'm a newbie and would like to start growing my own figs. I live in Malaysia and would like to grow figs here in Malaysia. Does anyone here is kind enough to share some of your extra cuttings to a newbie like me...? I would be very grateful.

I'm not sure how that works, there is likely export licenses needed to ship plants out of country (U.S.).  Hopefully someone with more knowledge will chime in.

I think there are a couple other on the site from Malaysia that you could trade with.

actually i already buy 5 black mission cutting from ebay and the cutting arrive here in malaysia..but sadly the cutting is not viable anymore because of the mold...i already ask the seller to soak the cutting with fungicide first but i think the seller did not do that for me..i manage to overpass malaysia custom by declare the cutting as souvenier....

Hi Akmar, welcome.
If people seem reluctant to send fig cuttings internationally, it is because there can be serious consequences for them if they do.  Quite a few members here rely on their horticultural work to supplement their income [or in some cases it is their main source of income]. So please understand that.   I am hoping there are other Malaysian members out there that can help you out. The rest of us will be as supportive as we can via tips, etc. Best of luck!

I'm Norhayati from Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. There is a Pokok Tin Malaysia fb that you can join. Perhaps you can contact Fig Mania since he has a lot of fig trees for sale. Pls join this group ...it is just like fig4fun except that the members are mostly from Malaysia and Indonesia. There will be a fig seminar in Sg petani at the end of this month.
