I had a strawberry verte cutting that molded (along with its sister). I tried everything to save it, but had to keep cutting it back. Finally, I cut it back to about 1.5 inches, with one node left above ground, and planted it with no roots. It has a green bud on the node, but it hasn't changed in a month.
Today I got a nice surprise. The node did not sprout, but something else did! I don't know if it will make it, but it has a shot. I still don't see roots.
