My figs in the garage geting ready for winter.

What type is the large one on the right?

I knew I recognized that tree without is cloths on. As nice a potted tree as I've seen. Martin did a great job on it. I hope it enjoys it's new home.

I will do my best to take good care of it :)

I assume the Diablo blade is for pruning?

I would recognize Martins beautiful fat potted up fig anywhere, I hope it enjoys its new home.  Very nice. Doyou stack for to conserve space or keep the younger ones off the cold floor?

Glad to see those pictures!  Old and slow as I am I would probably never have thought of stacking figs.  Bless your heart, man, you have just taught me how to keep more figs in my garage over winter.  I really NEED a greenhouse.

I stack my figs to save space.

I dont know if anyone noticed, but there are also boards under the top pots to keep them from touching.

What is the purpose of stopping touching?

I saw the boards----just thought they  let the pots stack level. Would roots actually grow into the bottom pots over winter? Just curious.

Wow Martins Unknown is a Goliath. Compared to the others, Im still trying to figure out where im going to store my 3 bigger plants since this is the first year for me and I have no clue whats too cold and whats too warm.

Another obsevation...

The 2 left-side top pots are soiled (without saucer) and figs
are still green... must have been (warm) in-ground...

The 2 right-side top pots are very clean (with saucer) and figs
have no leaves...must have been a cooler place (e.g., deck).

it was a pleasure meeting you and talking about fig plants, i hope to see pictures of your plants and fruits next season !
This early spring i will have some scion for you right before my plants open there buds as i feel thats the best time for them to release there energy and grow roots for you you when you try to root them.

JZ and Paully scion is in refrigerator and will be sent soon.

2 pots on the left was in the ground with pots.
2 pots on the right are brand new. (figs was in the ground without pots).When I transplanted figs the they dropped leaves sooner.
Next year I will keep all my figs in the pots.
Wood blocks under pots I have just to level pots.When it gets colder I will cover those figs with something to protect from cold winter air when garage doors opens.
This is my first winter with figs I hope I will do just fine :)
I will post pics next Spring once figs starts brake dormantcy.
