Back to the farmer's market to get fresh fruits and veggies and to see what goodies Dennis had for sale.  Bought a jack fruit among other things.  Note to self.  Put down plastic the next time you cut a fruit with enough latex to seal a boat. 
Will be getting a Salem Dark from Dennis.  Fun
Bought some brandy laced fig jam from Dennis.
Note to self,  Eat lunch before market, do not attempt to open and eat fig jam while driving without a spoon.  Messy
Epicurious has a recipe for pork loin and fig jam that sound wonderful.  Most people seem to make it for the winter holidays but I think I will trial it before that.
Can't wait for the southern fig fest.

I just planted a salem dark a few weeks ago, my first in ground tree. Its growing like a weed. I'm still wanting to try his jam. I might have to drive down there..
