Re-using Sp. Moss

I have sort of reused some of the sp moss I rooted cuttings with for more cuttings.  I have not seen any mold, and figured what the heck - it's already moistened with no mold.

Have any of you out there reused it?  How many times or should I say how long since cuttings root at different rates?

I've let it dry and reused without any issues.  As my cuttings move to cups, I let the moss dry out and put in a bag for later use.  We'll see if I have any issues when I use it next year.  I don't like to throw anything away.

I re-use also like Frank.

I have reused moss with good success. In fact, I find some of my cuttings seem to get roots quicker in the moss where other cuttings have done well. I don't know if there is anything released into the moss upon rooting that would aid later batches or not. Call it hormones. Call it luck or magic. Whatever it is, I'll take it.

JoAnn...I reuse my Orchid moss over and over again with no problems...the only time I throw it away is if their was a mold problem in one of the bags...then it goes in the trash, the bag too...don't want any cross contamination.

I was thinking it would be OK - glad to hear you guys have had success with reusing.  The orchid moss is great, the moss from Mosser Lee - well, not as great.  It seems to be breaking down but I think it is still fine to use, so I will!
