Thank you everyone.

I just had my first LSU Scott's Yellow two days ago. Productive, large yellow figs, light red interior, thin skin, tight eye and very good flavor.

Also got hundreds of figs off the Violet De Bordeauxs.
Yesterday I went to go pick some of the last VDB that were left. But there were small birds all over the trees. I walked right up to them and they were so into eating the ripe figs, they didn't even notice me standing 1ft away from them. I was like shoo birds! Then they looked at me like, no you shoo, these are delicious..

Thanks again.

Just when I thought I was finished!! I can't resist the temptation.

Nice to hear of your success Sid.

What is the difference between the $3 and the $5 Danny's Delight?

Good eye arachyd. I hadn't even caught my mistake.

I will err in favor of the buyer. Danny's Delight will all be $3. Thank you for bringing that to my attention.

Hi Bill,

Is martins unknown black the same as martins unknown purple?

Hey Craig.

The one I"m offering is the large Black/Dark Purple one. It's pictured here in these two threads: http://figs4funforum.websitetoolbox.com/post/martins-unknown-5873131?pid=1273842215

http://figs4funforum.websitetoolbox.com/post/martins-unknown-4861509?pid=41731150

There is another one referred to as Martin's Italian Unknown. It's not as large as this one and not as dark. I don't have that one.

As far as I know, there are only two being circulated that originated from Martin and have the suffix "Unknown".

Bill.... Any more info or links for additional info on these three:
- Afghan-E (RW)
- Algerian
- Armenian

Sorry if previously provided...
Thanks,
T

Hey Tony.
Sorry I overlooked your question for awhile there.

If I'm recalling correctly, all 3 of those came from Richard Watts.

Info on the Afghan-E has been limited even til now. I currently don't have a mature tree of this one in my orchard. A friend of mine grows this one & he is the source of cuttings this season on all three of these. I recall him saying it was a very good tasting dark fig & that's about it for now.

Similar story with Algerian. It may be like the one shown here: http://figs4funforum.websitetoolbox.com/post/algerian-figs-6180222?pid=1276624750

These links show the same Armenian I"m offering here: http://figs4funforum.websitetoolbox.com/post/uc-davis-armenian-6006375?pid=1274952132

http://figs4funforum.websitetoolbox.com/post/armenian-fig-5532823?pid=1270670904

All are common figs and will produce without the wasp.

I have a better camera this year & I plan to get over to my buddy's place in August/Sept when the figs are ripe to take pics & gather more info on all 3 of these.

I hope this helps.

Thank you, Bill!!
