Never had ripe fig this late in our season here near Chicago. This year has been unusual weather wise as many have experienced.
These were still hanging on after going through our first frost last week and low of 28 degree's this morning and high of 70 today. Both are first season plants and dont know any better but will adjust crop as they mature. ; )
Anyways the mission fig top in picture was bland and the Ronde was very good and was crunchy , i look forward to next season tasting other types yet to produce.
