Noticed this Ronde de Bordeaux fig ripening and I quickly put the netting over the tree since there are Baltimore Orioles around.  Hopefully the grape jelly will distract them.

What's RdB taste like. I know its opinion but I have a few on my tree. Just looking for somthing to go on.

Beautiful!  I have a few on my new tree, but not ripe. Mine look a little mutant.

Tom, I don't want to steal your thread but I picked a main crop fig today off a
second year RDB tree. The flavor was really washed out. We did have four inches
of rain this morning just before I picked it. Any thoughts? Maybe young tree and
the rain.
