Last year I had fruits ripe, during rain, and were mediocre tasting.
This year I had more than a dozen fruits, getting ripe while raining continuously,so they filled with water, and sub par tasting.
Today is ,the second day of dry weather, finally and ,my first decent fruit that got ripe almost properly.
Now I see why this cultivar is loved for.
It was excellent tasting, with excellent flavor and sugar.
I am also sure that in the future will produce much larger fruits as the one in the pix is at the end of season, and the other that ripe in August were much larger, but as it gets to the last fruits getting ripe ,they are smaller and smaller in size.
All in all,if it proved to be quite cold resistant having it in ground for the last 2 years, and it had minimal Winter damage in the Spring.
