Roosters in the hen house

The two caprifigs I am starting, 228-20 "Enderud" and 271-1 "Saleeb", strutting their stuff in front of the females.



Along with using them for crosses, it will be interesting to see what "edible caprifig" means and how cold hardy they are.

I'm growing 2 unidentified caprifigs. Both were growing on very old estates likely collected in the days when wealthy plant enthusiasts would bring home 'interesting specimens' from around the world. One is quite pretty.
