Root knot namatodes

One of the bare rooted fig trees I got from a fig nursery was infected with RKN. Any proven way to treat the roots?
I was thinking of taking as many cuttings as possible and dispose the root.
I'm probably better off doing that, unless you know of any treatments for RKN.

I don't know if this will help. But maybe you should look into this.

Rick thanks for that link... If I get more than one tree infected than that would be an option. but I don't think I want to spend more than I spent for the plant.
The gentleman that sold me the trees, called me this morning after he was told that I posted that. He will be replacing my tree for free. He apologized he didn't see it.
As for the infected plant, I'm just going to dispose it.

Bass, I remember James had posting & feedback on his hot water treatment of nematode infested fig plant. Seems to work for him. Check out James threads in this forum or in the garden web.

Bass,
Here is another site that may help. I know that you don't need a lot. But it maybe just the correct amount for the figs you just received.

Here are a couple links for information on nematodes and control of them.   You need to go nearly to the bottom on the second link.
