Rooted figs in cups

I am rooting a few figs, and more to come.  Right now I have some in cups and have put them under lights in a plastic tote.  My question is, how warm do I need to keep them?  I have a room that is well suited to my needs (like out of the way of four active children and a wife), but it is cooler at 65F instead of the 75F the unrooted cuttings enjoy on top of the water heater.  There is not enough room for the tote in the furnace/water heater closet, and I have no bottom heat source in the other room.  Are they gonna be unhappy with their roots that cool?  I put a thermometer in the tote, with the lights going, and it was around 67F.  Besides bottom heat, any suggestions?

65 might be a little cool, but many do fine on my desk which is about 68F in the winter. I would try and shoot for avout 70F if possible. You can put them in a plastic storage tote, and add a 30-40 watt light bulb, which should add plenty of heat. Don't forget to add fresh air regularly to keep down the mold.

I would agree. 65 is on the cool side but they should still do OK. If you can get it to 70-75, you should get a little better results. Warmer than that you risk mold issues before rooting. Good luck.
