I bought a brn turkey about 4' tall bare root from a nursery.. I cut some root off before potting it. I planted 4 pieces of the root with root hairs in perlite and spag 50 50 on 4/1. They look like they have small roots coming. Should I have left part of the roots exposed. Will they sprout threw the soil.The main tree looks dead.I potted it around the same time.How long for it to show some life.
