A couple of years ago, I accidentally snapped a green branch on one of my fig trees. I took it and stuck it deep in the soil in a seperate pot. It just kept on going. I was surprised.
Sometimes It takes some luck to succeed.

Sas your right. He gave it to me and i said to myself green cutting thanks. Left it in the bag he gave me stuck it on the fridge and thats it. It was really thick so had that on my side. It still aint done yet. To be continued. :-)

When I set the winter growroom plants outside, my neighbor dog thought they were for him I guess.  He bit two limbs off of my LSU Tiger and two off of two Valley Black.  I stuck them in growbags with compost on the front porch and watered along with the cuttings in bags.  They must have rooted because they're doing fine and growing. I intentionally pruned the top from Vasilika Sika, stuck it in a pot and covered it with a bucket for awhile and it's still just a green stem but no growth. Maybe I should have got the dog to slobber on it.

Slobber is a critical step. Lol.

Some rotten squirrel digging through my pots for nuts ripped both the green limbs off one of my Salce cuttings. I put them into damp sphagnum and both rooted quickly. Still furious about the whole thing though.

I hate squirrels. I send them to the spirit world.
