Rooting in a bag

Hey, Guys!\\
I keep seeing posts that ask where to find the clear plastic rooting cups.

Almost any town has a convenience store that sells pop in 32 ounce and even larger sizes.  The cups are often clear plastic with the store logo on it, but plenty clear enough to see any roots that develop.

I get mine from a local outfit called Quick Trip; I save each cup when I buy a pop, but they will sell as many as you want for (last time I bought) sixteen cents each.  These are good cups, heavier and stronger than the cheapies sold in smaller sizes at Walmart et al.

Take these cups, nick the edge of the bottom with a table saw to cut little drain holes and you are good to go for several years.

Here is a link to an [oldie] somewhat improvement for the
"Rooting in bag" method; thanks to Leon/Henry....

Say goodbye to mold (for the most part)

Edit:
I also like to add that some fig people (including myself), think
that sphagnum  moss performs better than newspaper or paper-towel.
