This looks very promising. This is the first year I am attempting to root cuttings and this method seems simple and effective enough for a newbie like me.

these are cuttings from last fall. i scratched the bottom of some of these to see if it makes a difference and i think it does! but did or used nothing else.

Tell me, 7676: how do you plan to separate the individual rooted cuttings when the ice age is over in May and you want to transfer the individual cuttings to a container? Will they separate easily? Joe BTW: I like your "lazy" system...good as any!

what about the names of the varieties/? Looks like a nice success but it's a mess with no names.
