Reading this article, I wondered if anyone has tried rooting up to five cuttings in perlite. I tried it in soil mix but without the hormones.
Also, has anyone tried Rootone and how does it compare to other rooting hormones.

Most people have found Rootone makes things worse.  Clonex is popular.

How do know your cuttings have some roots and not the leaves only?

That was my question too, Bob..  How do you know when they have sufficient roots?  Or do you just leave them a couple months and assume if they don't have roots, then it wasn't meant to be?  Do you not have a problem pulling them out w/o damaging the roots?

I did this because I was out of time.  I prefer individual bags.  I left them in for a few weeks then submerged them in a bigger plastic box which floated the perlite out.  Very few roots were broken this way.  The ones that rooted were potted individually, the ones that rotted were discarded and the rest went back in the bin with perlite.  It was 90 degrees while these were percolating so most of them rooted pretty fast.  They were checked at 3 weeks then every other week until all had rooted or rotted.

Thanks for the "I prefer individual bags" link.  I will try using the split plastic cups for  rooting some recently acquired cuttings.  It's cheap, and easy.
