Wish me luck! Thanks to a few awesome forum members I get another shot at this. Going the perlite and oil dry route. Shouldn't have any problems with gnats if there is no organics to rot, at least that's what I've been told. Cupped them up 4 days ago and checked them this morning. Several have roots pushed up to the clear cups and all are bright white and growing an inch a day ;) I just might have this figured out sooner than later!

Thanks, I've got good vibes this time! I'm building a new house very soon and want to build a fence of different figs in the front yard between us and the neighbors. A few more plants and I think I will be well on my way!

A few varieties I have are new to me. I've done some research but would like to hear others opinions on Lyndhurst White and Sultane. Do you think they will be good varieties in the humid south along the Gulf?

I can't answer the Lyndhurst question but Sultane is perfect.
