Today my Mother pasted away at the age of 93. We all knew her time was short, but the call from my brother this morning still left me in shock. I was walking out of the house to go visit her when he called. Now she rest in eternal peace.

As some of you have noticed, I haven't been too active on the forum lately. Well she was one of the reason, I didn't have the passion for life I usually have with her lying in bed not hardly knowing what was going on around her. Once I pass this grieving stage, perhaps I can get back into life with a good heart. She will be missed that's for sure, but her clocked has stopped an  I can accept that, it will just take a little time to get myself together.

Sorry for your loss, brother. Lost my only brother at 12, grandmother and grandfathers at 19-21, almost lost my father 6 years ago.... Can't imagine losing my parents too.

To all my figs4fun friends, those I've met face to face, and those I've only met here on line, thanks for all the prayer, well wishes and condolences. Having friends like y'all only make this easier, as I know I don't carry all the burden. She has run the race and run it well, and God in his mercy allow her to go peacefully while she slept. Never did she suffer any pain or was a burden to any one of us. She was as common a person as you could ever meet and never met a stranger. When I told her I had discovered that she actually had relatives that were some of the first settlers that came to America and founded Jamestown she didn't quite understand. Then when I told her that she was related to the Queen of England and had royal blood in her veins she couldn't imagine that. She just thought of herself as a humble housewife and mother, but to me she is a Queen, the Queen of my world. I'm am nothing except for her.

Sounds like a terrific lady. You were fortunate to have her in your life. Wish I could say the same about my own. I am sorry and saddened for your loss. Peace be with you and yours.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss.  Even when we know it's coming, like with your mother and my sister, it's still terrobly painful and leaves you feeling so empty.  There's nothing like the loss of a mother.  Our prayers are with you and your family.
