This fig wasn't as good as they usually get. It was a little watered down due to all the rain. It was still nice and sweet and has that unusual flavor that I can't figure out. Maybe honey or molasses. I gave it a 7 and my wife gave it an 8. I know from last year that this fig is a good one.

Art, I think I will like this one before the summer is over. This is what I said about the first fig I have had from my tree.jelly like honey flavor. It is different but has a good flavor
Yeah, Your description is spot on. I know if I can get about three days without rain they will be better. Mine are wanting to blow up.
I have a 5 1/2' tree in a 30 gal pot, but no figs this year. Hope I get to share your experience next year.
Art,That's a very nice fig .Francisco
Art, way to much water this and not hot enough. Every thing is blowing up.
Bugs, You know up here I haven't had a day in the 90's. It would be one thing if we just had a light rain, but we are getting these heavy down pours.
Same here Art, same here. We just had enough 45 min. rain storm go through tonight. All most every night we have been getting rain and if we are lucky it may hit 80 during the day. The grass is getting molded, have to cut it shorter.
The unusual cool temps don't help either, Art.Hopefully it will warm up and stay warm so we can enjoy our fruit.
looks good thanks for sharing. Hope fig weather improves soon.
Rafed, I'm sure you are probably getting similar or worse weather.
Art,Let's just say we are in Defcon 3 and another couple weeks of this cool stuff and we upgrade to Defcon 4.
Art keep us posted on the rest, we are experiencing the same heavy downpours, I am more interested if they split. Thanks.
Interested in an experiment? I covered a few potted 'trees' with clear plastic bags when it rained here to see if it would make a difference. too early to tell yet.
Let us know Bob because we have rain everyday.
Art were they breba or main? I have a couple main crop figs on my tree that I started this past winter.with this cold rainy weather we've been having everything is way behind. The only good thing with this weather is that we'll be putting the trees through some rigorous testing. If the figs are good this year then they should be really good in a normal year.
Tony, they are main crop. Wayne, It's a splitter. The one on the left was pretty good.
Thanks Art, I was afraid that it was.
Art, I just had the second fig and it was a good bit better than the first. No rain for two weeks helped a lot. It was about an 8.
