Today I checked my Tupperware box and found this surprise ;)

Some nice roots!

I quickly potted it and brought it to sunshine :)

Sal's Corelone is a great tasting fig.  In my climate the figs are fat, sweet and rich tasting.  Notice I did not say tasty!  However, it does has a large open eye but the drop of honey from its eye seals it up.  I have 2 trees in the ground.  My tree dies back every year and comes back every year with figs on.  It would be best to winterize it but I don't.  Back in the day...it use to be the fig to get!  Not so anymore.  But it is productive and worth its weight in gold.

Thanks for the tips, if all goes well, this will be one of fifteen I will be growing!
This I will grow in a pot, I plan to grow about ten in pot and five in the ground. I am just so happy to be growing the stuff ;)

Very nice, Peter.  15 Sal's Carleone?! This is great!!

Oh no Meg, one Sals Corleone, the rest are different varieties.

Lol...my misunderstanding!
