Cecil, i actually had the same amount and few more itsy bitsy ones but i had to knock them off because of my climate which is starting to show its ugly side.
I want plant to keep its energy for the upcoming winter not for making figs which would not ripen for me , the plant i feel is to small at this part of season compared with say ronde or portuguese plant which grew to 4 ft and i left figs on cause i dont worry about them this winter. Im sure yours should do better in your climate and also because you grow inground and have the longer season as opposed to a restricted pot in which i grow them in, a plus for me is i dont have to worry about gophers, worms, rkn, and all most of them other critters you have.
What i meen by comparing our alike plants is if there are any difference between them like leaves, fruit color in and out and taste.
But i know you know not how many figs we make, heck i cant compete with your climate and anyones inground plants what so ever.
Plus your no rookie and im not expert, all i do is stick em in them pots give em a drink with some reduced MG and lime and mother nature does the rest. ; )
So eat your olive oil figs if any left ( he he)--- humor Cecil. i tried to tell ya how they would come out from past experience!!! ; )~
WOve ya Babe!
PS : yes we call guys Babe too.
