sals el or mvsb?

I'm trying to decide between Sals EL and MvsB. If anyone has both which would you take over the other based on vigor, taste and productivity?
Thanks

why not both?

My Marseilles Black VS is so infected I don't know when I'll be able to taste it but the Sal's is great! I really think you need both :)

Tami, I really don't have much room for anything, so I'm limiting myself to one more. I wanted to get something cold hardy so I can plant it eventually. I compared my want list with Hermans winter results from previous years, and ended up with these two.

graft one on to other one. both figs on one tree :)

Tough choice because they're both good here.  But if I had to choose just one of those, I'd take Sal's EL.  (Unless you already have one that's really close to it... Sal's EL is very similar to Chicago Hardy / Bensonhurst Purple / Mangibello... so if you already have that then I'd say go with the MVSB).

Mike is one better than the other as far as rain tolerance? Or are they about the same.

If I had to choose between the two, I'll go for the MvsB.

I have both in ground, both good, I can’t choose. Looking out the window I see MBVS suffered “some” winter damage, Sal’s looks perfect

Never had MvsB , i do know genuine EL.Sals from years ago is very productive.
I say years ago as the nursery now claims their Hc and Sals are the same as they sold them seperate
10 years ago.
