Why do some nurseries sell Sal's more expensive than others?

Simple answer is- because they can, wouldn't you like to be able to get more? If you post some links then maybe I can find a better reason.

A typical, "Figue-du-Jour"....gotta have it, fig.  Supply, and demand.

Next season, it will be some other variety.  Nothing more than that.

The price of everything sold can be variable, from soup to nuts to potting soil. It's the way of the world. :)

Make sure if you want a real Sal's it's from a good nursery. Cause, if not you could end up with whatever fig they have with different name tags.

Frank, You have a very good supplier of fig trees near by. His name is Ed and a member of this site. His handle is ejp3, I think. If your from the Bronxs, you should be with in half hour ride of him. If he doesn't have what your looking for, he can get it. There's also a fellow named KK, I have not done business with him yet but have heard good things. I want to say, he's in NJ, up near NYC. You can check Bass out at trees of joy, can't remember if he has one listed or not. There's also Herman, would bet on it, that he has a tree ready for sale. If you do a search, you will find other good growers.
