Thanks Frank,

Like you we have had plenty of rain. Our total for July only was 14.41 inches!

Thanks , I enjoyed watching the video!

  Pete

Thanks for another enjoyable video Frank.

Nice video , Frank

Thanks for sharing

Wow. Envious. Thanks

Very nice Frank, I love your set up. I'm envious of the fact that your split figs are not sour nor do that have sour beetles all over them. As soon as my figs begin to swell the beetles show up and gather around the eyes even on closed eye varieties. That is all but on O'Rourke, Alma, and LSU purple. These must not put out ripening smells. I know which figs I'll be adding more of to my collection. Thanks for the video, well done.

Very nice video!  Salivating here.

That was good stuff.  Too bad I sent my Green Ischia down the road.  It was big and wasn't setting any fruit.  I don't have time for that.  Now I wish I would have kept it.

Loved your reaction when you tasted the Alma fig.

Beautiful Figs, Thank you Frank!!!!

FMD nice setup, alo me when i eat somthing from the orcard i have to share with my spouse .

if it is store bought i eat by myself.... i guess somthing arachological about this...
when we grow the figs and bring them home we feel like the man in the old times that used to bring the actual meat to the table. :)

i guess facebook and google cant touch this :)  modern times ah

Thanks Frank! Good video and nice to see Stallion in someone else's orchard. Did it drop any figs? If it is Celeste or something close, that is must know information.

Thank you Frank. I have to follow suit, there is no other word but envious.

Thanks for the encouragement...which may translate into more videos in the future. Oh no!!!

A few more observations:

Jimmie, Stallion did drop some figs (like a celeste) but not many. I can't give it a rating just yet without more data.

I did not sample Atreano, LSU Gold or Celeste on camera. They were significantly inferior to RdB, NJ Red Unk, Green Ischia and Alma. Had they had the benefit of drier weather, protection from critters and time to dehydrate a little before being picked, they would have been 10X tastier.

It looks like I am the Alma pusher on this forum but what can I say when this fig performs way above its pay grade year after year after year for me. It is a veritable gift from the gods to have  such a highly productive, exquisite tasting fig. If anyone is in the Tallahassee area during August, feel free to drop by and help me consume as many as possible.

Hello Frank,

I  enjoyed vicariously sampling your figs and the walk about. Thanks for sharing.
Your praise of Alma makes me feel better about having had both of my 1qt Almas chewed in half, creating 4.

I've been keeping a list of  synonyms and somewhere along the way I heard  Alma is Fall Gold and Italian White. What do you think?

 Thanks Soni

Frank that NJ unk is a wow for me and seeing and hearing about your Alma sisters convinced me to buy one .

GREAT vidio Frank.  Very envious....  I am curious on how my Alma will taste up here when it starts making in the next year or so.

You sure know how to tease a guy. I hope I have the opportunity to do so.

Where your Almas grow they have a definate micro climate. I would think it is much warmer and dryer on the concrete slab. Probably much closer to a Mediterranean climate.

Thanks for sharing, Frank, nice video.  On your next video I'd like to see a shot of you taking the bite into the fruits.  Facial expressions would be nice! lol

Great video Frank.......I'm watching it while it once again is pouring:)

thanks for taking the time to post again. well done
