More Santa Cruz Dark.

Santa Cruz LIGHT? Guessing it is not a keeper for you, Martin. I might be wrong.

Thanks for posting the pictures and changing my mind on adding this cultivator to my collection.

Navid.

Navid i ordered santa cruz dark , came to me tagged as such.
Its visible on tag only if picture is enlarged on hardrive.

Picked this morning

Martin, I do believe you. Just could not resist teasing you since I know that your prefer the dark verities. BTW how the ones from today tasted?

Navid.

Hi Navid,
i'll just say that there not the type of fig i truly enjoy .

No way should my personal palate interfere with someone not growing it.
I do not mean to insinuate that in any way.
Its just a preference for me i have to be picky as i cannot keep a lot of fig trees .
Figs cannot all taste to me as good from very start as ronde, vdb, Hc, Sals .

I picked these about 1 hour ago.

wowser's that looks delicious and a very pretty fig indeed.

Thanks Nelson , it will be last time on forum i show this plant and its figs.  ; )

OH OH , just dosn't do it for you does it?

Its not a bad tasting fig i come to find out but yes your right just not for me.
The skin is very tender on this type melts in your mouth.

It does look tasty to me but we all have different taste bud's. One fig I dont like is Kadota, I actually like the Breba better than main crop but again just not my cup of tea. I rather eat 1 black mission than 10 Kadotas.

Nelson, my Santa Cruz Dark is going the same way as Martin -- maybe it needs lots of high heat units. Just not suitable for my zone. Branches will be chopped for another fig hobbyist and the air layered going to another collector. If interested I can send bareroot tree less some  branches. Plant came from R.Watts.

Hey Paul , hmmmmm oh boy decision's decision's hmmmm. Well after reading both your comments on this one I will have to trust Martin's taste buds and pass but I do appreciate the offer.

I tried it at UC Davis last week and I too will pass on this one. Too may other fabulous figs to waste resources on a mediocre fruit. IMHO.
