Santa's List

In the spirit of the season Whether your into Christmas, Hanukkah or whatever if you could only ask for one variety that you don't currently have, what would it be and why.

I'll start with Col de Dame Gris. Because I have heard so many stellar reviews for this fig group, and this variety is purported by some to be the best of the bunch.

I look forward to hearing others responses.

Maltese Falcon ...  and to be honest I just want to see what all the hype is about. Besides it looks like an awesome fig.

Geneveso nero it's something about it.

I would have to say Socrro black after seeing the pictures JD posted on the thread he started. My mouth is still watering. Just imagining what this variant must taste like! I will definitely be trying to bye myself this one for X- mas.

Pick one? Oh my. It's so difficult!  Okay okay,
Sal's Corleon
Why?  Because it sounds just fantastic.

Hey Sarah MERRY XMAS send me your info in a PM Ill send you some Sals
PS it is fantastic

Anthony, your generosity is amazing! I am blessed to be apart of this very giving forum.

Whoot!  *doing the fig dance*  Thank you so much!  I can't wait!

Sarah, Sal's Corleone does sound amazing. Santa a.k.a Anthony has helped you out! Truly awesome guy!

I want a fig I can't pronounce.
I want it to be green so I can brag about it to Martin.

Some good choices so far

Anthony it is great for you to give the Sals to Sarah.

Rated, it wouldn't narrow it down much for me to pick one I can't pronounce.

Dieseler, I think if you got a green fig for Christmas you would be looking around to see where the switch and piece of coal were that came with it.

JH Adriatic so that I will have a green fig that tastes great and grows well here.  I have the best dark fig that grows here, Negronne....so all I need is a great green fig.  Ho Ho Ho

Cookie,
jH Adriatic has a good reputation. I recently acquired one and look forward to sampling one for myself in a year or two.

Hopefully you'll get one soon.

I would have to say Noir De Caromb, I have heard wonderful reviews about this fig but unfortunatly it is very hard to find, so second choice would be between three. RdB, Red Lebon, or black bethleham. these three look fabulis, so much i couldnt pick one above the other until i have tasted them.

Dave, I know what ya mean. If I couldn't get Socrro Black second choice would be Lebanese Red looks amazing and I like the stories behind how it got here

Violette Dauphine

I would say Black Maderia

Lebanese Red. Speaking of wanting to know what all the hype is about.

I'm with you Womack. Col de Dame Gris is on my Santa's list.

The Madeira figs: Black Madeira, Figo Preto, Figo Branca, and Abebereira.  Oh, I was supposed to ask for one fig, please make it one grafted to all four. :)
