Saratoga/Chico Strawberry fig

Yea Bosco, thank you, mailed yours out today. I ran out of the really thick tip cuttings so in addition to the best tip cuttings I had left I threw in 3 non-tip branches that are thicker. :-)

I am drooling right now with all the 'free' offers. But I live on the other side of the world. God willing, next year I'll be making another trip to USA hopefully. And...

Norhayati,
Swing by and see me when you make it to the States. I have lots of treasures to share. :-)

I also am having trouble doing a donation.   Going straight to error message.

Thanks for the help Sue!   I sent you that PM early this morning.

Hi Sue,

Received your beautiful cuttings today.   Wow.... cross town mail in one day, that is incredible, seems like local delivery is usually a few days at least.   I look forward to getting these babies started quick.  Thanks again, you are the Best...... :)

Jack

BTW..... what is that medium you shipped the cuttings in.   I like...1

Hi Jack,

Wow that was fast shipping! They are packaged in coconut coir. I heard about the coir from a plumeria grower friend of mine and thought I'd give it a try. I've been rooting cuttings in it for about a year now with good results. As I mentioned in an earlier post, you can leave the cuttings bagged or rinse and put them in your favorite growing medium.

Good luck!
Sue

I haven't opened the baggie yet but, first observation was.... what, coffee grounds?  LOL ....
Thanks for the rooting tip and again for your generosity.

The cuttings look great! Thanks, Sue!

Got the cuttings. Unfortunately they sat in the mailbox for a little while but I'm hoping they're fine. The coir may have actually helped insulate them. They're in their new home now in rooting cups. Thank you so much, they're very nice cuttings!

Side note, I noticed whenever someone posts a bunch of varieties on ebay like Jon's been doing, there's always a flurry of postings by the scammers started shortly there after with the same names. Of course they usually add rare to the name. I'm just waiting to see the 'rare' Celeste eBay listing so I can laugh my butt off!

I have a rare Brown Turkey for sale, it is so rare that no one, and I mean no one else owns the one that I am holding in my hand.

Not as rare and pretty as mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got your cuttings today.  I'm very excited to get those beauties started.

You are a great F4F role model for the rest of us.

Thanks for the inspiration.
