Searching for cuttings or trees anywhere around southeast Texas?

I'm new to growing figs in general, but I'm very captivated and looking to jump into it and begin growing a small collection. I'm the owner of one lonely celeste atm. If anybody can inform me of a decent nursery in the area, substrate to use and so on, I would be eternally grateful. Willing to pay for cuttings or trees. Thank you for your time!

Also just any general tips from others growing in this climate. Any tips for beginners ie.. substrate, fertilizers, container size, amount of sun to give, varieties well suited to this region. I really enjoy gardening and figs. It's extremely relaxing and therapeutic to me and I would love to expand this part of my life. Again, I'm willing to pay for any cuttings or trees anyone may have. Generic or otherwise.

Welcome to the forum, our Texas delegation continues to grow.  Where you located, Southeast Texas can have multiple and different growing environments.  As an example, League City is totally different than Conroe, which would be totally different from Corpus Christi.

Email me your address and I will send you cuttings.

Thanks much, Danny. I'm located outside of Beaumont.. Email on it's way. Any advice for a beginner?

Hello and welcome! If you search this forum there is an abundance of info on starting get cuttings. Search for "baggie method" to start, or check the top page of this site there is a section on getting started.

Thank you dr phil! I will definitely check those out. Everyone I've spoken to so far in this community has been so kind and helpful. I'm glad this is here and that I found it to have a place to learn, get help and geek out on this awesome new hobby and lifestyle. It's surprisingly fulfilling. Thanks again and I'm excited to get my small collection and lesson learning under way.

I'd take a ride out to Durios nursery in LA.
