Seed Savers 2009 Yearbook

Hi all,
Just got this years yearbook for SSE and there are a considerable fewer number of figs being offered (14 varieties this year).

Was wondering where all of the varieties have gone.  I was excited to pick a few this year....

Hope everyone is doing well
Chris

Jon Verdick didn't list his Figs4Fun varieties which was the bulk of the figs listed last
year.

Cuttings are available at Encanto Farms. I did not list with SSE this season, partly because I could not put the list together early enough to meet the publication deadline. And partly because too many SSE requesters could not read and follow instructions, and it was wasting way too much time. I did not have time to work out a solution with SSE this season.

At least the varieties are still available through you.  I sent on a request e-mail last night from the scionwood offer page so I wanted to thank you for still making varieties available.

It is a shame that there were issues with the SSE yearbook.  It appears that although the number of unique varieties have increased, the number of listing members has sequentially decreased year over year.  On the SSE forum (they have a brand new forum now), they are talking about taking the yearbook into the 21st century and possibly making electronic next year....we shall soon see.

Thank again
Chris
