I can't compare it with Marylane, but this is a fig that I collected from the wild and the tree was loaded with figs. Only very few figs on the tree had seeds that were crunchy, but most of it didn't have any seeds. It had a very soft texture that was very sweet and still flavorful. The seeded one seemed to be the ones that were pollinated by the fig wasp.
Martin, there probably was some unformed seeds in there but was very hard to tell.
This was a very unique fig that I decided to collect it.
