My work for the local newspaper has ceased, due to restructuring of their operations. I was part-time, but it has strained my budget. I've been making ends meet by selling extra plants that I had grown from seeds and/or cuttings to people in my area. So far, it's worked pretty well but I am just about out of stock.

I am planning to grow a bunch more plants to do this again in the future. That said, if anyone has cuttings, roots, seeds or scion available, I would like to trade for or buy them from you. My main interest is blackberries, raspberries, elderberries, pomegranates, mulberries, nut trees, anything that is not readily available at Lowe's or WalMart. Honestly, I am interested in hearing about anything anyone has available. Please PM me, so we can discuss. Thanks.

P.S. - I realize things are actively growing now, so I am OK with waiting for Fall, if necessary. It often depends on the plant being grown. Although, I have had excellent results growing green cuttings in the past.

I don't really have any cuttings to offer at the time, but I would suggest checking out Sheffield's Seed. There should be plenty of relatively cheap seeds you can make a quick buck on, especially uncommon stuff like PawPaw or Persimmon.

I'd offer some raspberry suckers, but they look virus infected, so not this year.

Not sure why you took the time to post that, Aaron, other than to exhibit poor behavior on this forum yet again. I was not counting on you in particular for assistance, especially when you tend to not contribute anything of value on any occasion.

I have quite a bit of scion in my fridge yet that will just go bad. I normally go to  an Atlanta fruit groups meeting and hand out a ton of material come back with a couple sticks of something, this year I didn't make it to the meeting. Some may be going bad, so I will have to check. I sent some out to a member here last week. I have several cultivars pears both Euro and Asian, some peaches, apples, plums, Pluot, and a Pluerry. I think some persimmon still. A couple things might be still under patent. Getting really late for most grafting, but maybe you could bud some of the stone fruit still. In fall likley would have some Dunstan chestnuts and a couple cultivar Mulberry. I have lot of Pomegranate cultivars, but for the most are still too small for cuttings and are in pots. The ones I have inground that would have had cuttings  hit hard this winter, but depending on many shoots come on this season from roots. The material would be free, maybe the shipping as well depending on how much you wanted to mess with.

John, I get lots of freebies at my local community P-Patch... you should look into that. I Have my little plot there and a sign... I adopt your unwanted to grow or for  my chickens and bunny...  the bucket is full every week now.   and you meet the more amazing people out there willing to share their excess and will not even cost you the postage.

now that I think about it, I do have a chester blackberry start and a heritage raspberry start if you want them hit me with a PM including your address. I'll be glad to help a long time member in need. I think giving is just as nice as receiving and it's your turn.
