I sent a forum member a bare root air layer last fall.
I had to cut off a bit at the bottom so it would fit in the box.
I thought ... what the heck, its already got roots, ... so I potted that piece up and put it into winter storage with the rest of my trees. .. brought it out at the beginning of march, and now have another healthy Niagara Black.
