Seperating Question

Ok so my Bronze Paradiso was a Bush had 5 trunks and was just way too bushy for my liking, so this fall we pruned it and still was too bushy. So me and my dad decided to take a saw and chop the the roots down the middle since we figured it had 5 trunks it was all seperate plants. Well we were wrong they were all connected below soil line and we realized that once we choped the roots down the middle and the main trunk in half. He kept half and I kept half and I brought one to work and it seems to be fine has been growing brebas and all. Yesterday I decided to seperate one more trunk off to give my grandfather a plant and it had a nice amount of roots but no where near as much as the bigger plant.

My main question here is since it has roots but nothing crazy its basically a Shoot should I keep it with the other plants where the temps are aroun -5 to -8 lately or bring it inside the office where its allot warmer.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Ok this is the plant this summer you can kind of see all the trunks this is when the plant was doing time for bad behavior lol.

Assuming it is dormant, treat it like a bare-root plant. Water well, and then don't water too often. Keep a little extra humidity, though without leaves, there should be little moisture loss. When it warms up, keep it a little protected from the sun, maybe morning sun and/or filtered sun for a while till it is showing signs of good growth. Just pamper it a little and it should be fine.

Thank you Jon the plant is still dormant I just was not sure if I had to bring it into warmer temps now of If I could leave them in storage with the other dormant plants.
