All my trees pretty much halted or seriously slowed growth down during the hottest time of year but now they are picking up again. Hope this new growth had time to harden off before real winter comes.

I am in a hot region and also got the impression from other member that during the hot months the potted trees stagnate.
But they make up for it in the last summer month where I get some growth, I may even get a ripe fig in october.

Fig tress are ready to go to 'sleep' here in the NE.
Any new growth should best is being hardened for the coming winter.
Avoid any late fertilizers...

Brian,
I'm experiencing a similar situation.
The days have been cool and overcast with colder nights over the last 4 weeks, but recently we have had sunny but cool days. The terminal buds have all started to open and new figs are emerging at the branch tips on several potted cultivars.

This fig tree is an example of what I am talking about but also I am wondering what variety it is. I bought it as a celeste from Lowe's.
