I've been waiting quite a while for this thing to show me it was still alive! I'm guessing it's been working on its roots? 

 

Some figs seem to do this under certain conditions.  I have a Verdesca that stalled out after I potted it up in mid-March.  It still has raggedy leaves and a green bud but has not grown all since then.  It seems a bit like it entered a semi-dormant state for a while.  Glad yours is taking off.

After that cold snap in late April, I have several small ones I don't think are alive and several in 18" pots that are just now breaking bud (again).

You should easily get over three feet of growth by the end of summer.

I agree with Sas.  It should really take off now!
