I recall you posting something about your seedlings before gorgi. I don't recall the details at the moment.

Will these be a caprifig or smyrna type or what. Are there any odds of them producing a "common" fig type? 

Most probably of the Smyrna type figs.

Yes, my Shirazi (Iranian Smyrna dried fig) seedlings all look like Jon's photos.   They have this unique leaf shape, characteristic of the parent plants that produce the dried figs.     The seedlings are most likely going to be either Smyrna types or Caprifigs.  It is unlikely that any would be a common type fig.     Fun to grow anyway!

From what I have seen with my other seedlings, all of the seeds of one fruit seem to be very similar. Seedlings from another fruit will be different. I saved seeds from several of my own figs, and when I grow them out, I will have a more controlled study.
