Should I cull some fruit?

4 yr old white blushing peach tree, should I remove some fruit? Or am I ok? I already have removed quite a bit, and if so how much should I remove? what to do!
Thanks

I'd say you're good as long as you think those branches can take the weight of that much fruit. I got greedy one year and had a pretty good size limb snap.  A couple of bamboo stakes and some twine could help out if you want to keep the fruit you have.  Problem is when you get 4-5 fruits that are way out on the end of a limb...that can be bad news, especially during a good, windy thunderstorm.

I would go for quality over quantity, eliminate some

At what percentage 20% more?
Thanks

Earlier on I would have taken off a lot more but at this point it may be difficult to discard more than 20%, the remaining fruit will be better, it is a very common practice in grape production for top quality wines

The question I have is, what are you wanting to do with these peaches?

If you are wanting to can/preserve/make jam from them, then you would need quantity.  The quality will be at least as good and most likely better than any store bought ones you would find and even meet or beat most 'farmer's market' ones, these days.

If you are wanting fresh eating/exhibition peaches...go ahead and thin them some more 20% sounds about right.

I've always stuck to the rule of a closed fist's measure between each fruit.  They turn out sweeter and larger this way.
