Should I pinch

Yes, it is better to pinch it off so plants growing energy/nutrients will not get wasted on these brebba figs. I usually cut them off when I see it on a cutting to be rooted. Sometimes you can see them on the cuttings other times they appear during the rooting process.

Remove them to help the plant progress unless curiosity overcomes you. Most often I even remove the main crop figlets that grows on the newly rooted plant during the summer in my zone 5 and not having long summers

To the hard thing and pinch them off. No question best thing to do.

I think it was user Rewton or rcantor who recommended using a razor blade to slice through the fig and then waiting for it to weaken before removal so as not to disturb the fragile roots. 
It's so minimally disruptive that I've been doing this ever since.
