Should I plant or take in for winter

I live in a suburb of New York City;zone 6B. I'd like to know if I should now plant my fig trees and protect them in the fall or should I take them inside for the winter.
I started them from cuttings actually last November and transplanted them to to 2 gallon pots in the spring. We had excellent weather and they grew exponentially. I even had tiny figs growing but they never grew to maturity.

The three plants that look bigger you can ,plant, providing you bent them down in the winter and cover them with 4 inches of soil.
They will establish much better if you plant them in ground than if you ptake them inside if your goal is to plant them in ground at the end.
But the more protection the better at this stage.
Also pinch the tips from now on,so it will not grow any taller ,but grow thicker, and grow strong roots, instead.

The threegrown plants are the same a the plants you see in the cups.
